Review: I searched and searched for Vegetarian venues when I went to visit Greenwood, NS, and found that this place was the closest. I went and was not disappointed. I had a veggie burder with chips and a soup. The soup was not to my liking but it was certainly to no fault of the soup or this restaurant.
The burger was big and satisfying, served on a lovely "think outside the bun" bun. :) The soup was hearty and flavorful (but like I said just not to my taste)
I will go back there next time I'm in the area, but will likely take out since the seating is limited, however I'm sure I could find a great place to have a picnic in the picturesque town.
Pros: Food * Portion *
Cons: Seating * * |

Review: I'm non-vegetarian, but easily make non-meat choices too. If I could eat at the V Lunchbox everyday (and I did for a week!), I would give up meat for good. As I walked in I heard a student say he was non-veg and skeptically tried the veggie burger yesterday and was back for the same today. I mimicked his exact thoughts, then his actions. It was amazing and served on sort of a thick pita bun (whole grain).
Most dishes are vegan. All food and sauces are homemade, except the veggie dog. Menu changes daily but in general: 3-5 salads, 2-3 entrées, 2-3 other such as soups and sandwiches. Eg: Moroccan Stew, Tofu Curry Sandwich, Chutney bulgar with curried chickpea and Okara bread, Chicken (NOT!) noodle soup, lasagna, smoothies, fair trade coffee, vegan muffins.
Owner was warm, honest, and modest. Uses locally and/or organically grown foods whenever possible.
Place is small but intention is for takeout.
Pros: Healthy and delicious * Excellent value * Attentive staff
Cons: I don't live in Wolfville. :-( * * |

Review: With numerous pizza shops and fine dining restaurants, Wolfville has long needed a special little vegetarian restaurant to cater to its health & earth-conscious residents! The Lunchbox is just that - a tiny little place with elbow-to-elbow seating - but the food and staff more than make up for the lack of space. The veggie burgers are a hit, and the Chakra balls are divine! I'd eat here everyday, if I could.
Pros: Delicious * Vegan * Friendly
Cons: Small * * |
