Review: This place is child friendly the food is good too. I am a vegan and they always have one vegan main dish (sometimes more) the soup is normally vegan as is most of the salad. You can get tea with soya milk and Sweedish Glace ice cream.
The cook is normally serving th efood so they know what is in each dish and they are happy to talk about it.
It is in the waiting room of the Steam Railway so has a cosy 1940's feel to it.
This is lunch tim efood though - tasty and filling - it is not a restaurant so I am rating it for what is, a very good café.

Pros: Vegan option * Child Friendly * Stakk are good
Cons: * *

Review: food very much in the style of the north of england. mainly buffet, although also a choice of baked tatties or soup. on the day i went there was a choice of three hot dishes, and six salads. two thirds seemed vegan and for my plate of one hot dish and four salad cost about eight manx pound.
the food tasted very healthy, and is made from local produce. i'm not sure if the menu is more extensive in the summer, but there was plenty of choice considering it is out of tourist season, it was still busy.
as i think it is the only place veggie on the island..you will go here, and i think you should, it deserves the business.

Pros: nice staff * great location * tasty and healthy
Cons: a little limited menu * *
