Review: Nice selection of vegan/macrobiotic dishes which they will heat up for you to eat at the few tables available or for takeaway. Food is not typically Italain, but not Oriental either, although there are some curry dishes. Good (not gourmet, but good) and filling at around €10 for a meal (food is sold by weight at €21 per kilo and a 1/2 kilo of food should be filling!). Clean locale and friendly staff.

Pros: healthy cuisine * friendly staff * good value
Cons: reheated food * *

Review: A modest place with good sweets. All VEGAN! They have three locations and their website (in Italian) is www.mensasana.it. I tried a chocolate truffle, a cinnamon/fruit kind of pie, the tiramisu, and another kind of chocolate pie with pears and hazelnuts. All great, but the tiramisu was not good (edible, but not good). They also have a few dry goods for purchase like alternative grains and sweeteners not usually found in Italian grocery stores. Overall, they were very nice and I was glad to find somewhere vegan in Milan. This location is one short block from the Metro station Porta Romana. The food was all by weight at ~21 Euro for 1 kilo. So that means a slice of pie is about 2 Euro or a little more. Also, it appeared that they always use alternative sweeteners instead of cane sugar. It seems the vegatable dishes are cold and more for take-out, but maybe they warm it up for you. There was some seating.

Pros: ALL VEGAN * Good sweets * Close to Metro
Cons: Small * Already prepared (not to order) *
