Review: This was an unexpected hip and modern place with a very professional look and feel. They healthied up our selections and I had a wonderful Veg burger decked out with fresh salad and veggies. I would definitely go here often. Very impressive and friendly.
Pros: VBurger * modern * well put together
Cons: * * |

Review: Alamanara has a good location on a large square in north-central Sevilla, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The menu is lacto-ovo-vegetarian (no meat), with several vegan options (and others that can be made vegan upon request). They serve olives and a bread basket before the meal (and the bread is said to be vegan).
An English menu card is available upon request. The server spoke some English and was helpful in identifying the vegan options.
Prices are quite reasonable by local standards (around 10 euros for a main dish).
Pros: creative menu * reasonable prices * good peoplewatching outside
Cons: no vegan desserts * no fresh juice or health drinks * |

Review: We visited this place twice in late June with two more people on the second occasion. There is a good selection of dishes. On both occasions we arrived at 8-30 and thus early for Spain. We chose to eat indoors because of the heat. When we left later the out side was buzzing with veggie eaters. The staff were helpful and provided english menus for us useless folkes. We can speak well of timbale of vegetables, skewer of seitan, lentil salad, moroccan coscous with veg.
We were confused about the cost of the bread and olives with the drinks but it seems petty to mention it as it was so small an amount anyway
We cannot vouch for the stictness of the kitchen in veggie terms
Pros: good size portion * very tasty * friendly staff
Cons: bread and olive costs * * |

• Hi Elainejenkins, I liked your review. It sounds like they have great food here that may be hard to find in Spain.. response by peasonearth

Review: It was a relief when we finally saw the restaurant, especially after I'd first sat down at the Cafe Alameda, only realizing my mistake while looking at their meaty, fishy menu over a glass of Rioja. The Alameda de Hercules is an area with lots of restaurants & bars & it was on the other side from where I'd expected it to be (North I think). We sat outside & were waited on by a friendly young man who spoke good English. The food was very good though one item (can't remember what) was strange, but maybe not to a Spanish palate. The waiter said they were 100% veggie. They've probably fixed the toilets by now so I won't mention them.
Pros: good food * friendly * outdoor tables too
Cons: * * |

Review: My wife and I do not speak Spanish and yet the staff was fabuous in ensuring that we were totally comfortable in all of our choices. We had made reservations and it was a good thing because by the time we left there was line up to get a table. Totally 100% vegetarian! Beautiful presentation, delicious courses...only drawback was as we were only two people we couldn't taste more items. the staff literally RUN to serve their clients. I would definitely go back (if I get to Seville again) and would Highly recommend it.

Review: I'm not sure why Almanar is listed as not 100% vegetarian, because there wasn't any meat on their menu last night and their menu declares that they're an "espacio veggie."
Anyway, this is the best vegetarian food we've had in Spain so far. Beautiful presentations of wholesome, tasty food that's not characteristically Spanish, but oh so good.
It was nice to see a veggie restaurant getting so much business, too.
We will eat there again.
Pros: Great food * swanky environs * healthy
Cons: pricey * a bit small so get there before the rush * |
