Review: i should've read small portion...
there's no spice but for very simple dishes...the managed to retain some taste but not use to it sitting by itself with no extra spices, vegetables mix..etc...
I felt really ripped off really!

Review: My family recently went to Christchurch and were told you have to eat at the Bodhi Tree. It was yummy. We had meals that sounded so odd on paper but were so good going down. My favorite was the grilled eggplant. Other favorites were the pickled tea leaves, and especially the pea tofu. The food was better explained on the menu as to how it was prepared. I just thought wow, how inventive and so tasty. The only bad thing, make sure you make a reservation. It is a very popular place. The staff was also very attentive. They caught on quickly that we were vegan and made suggestions to their menu and still it was a tough decision.
Pros: food * presentation * staff
Cons: reservations * * |

Review: The Bodhi Tree specializes in delicate Burmese Cuisine and is best if you go with a group and plan to share a bunch of small dishes. I'd say don't come here with a large appetite or you could end up spending A LOT of money.

Review: This is an extremely popular restaurant so you HAVE to book in advance!
Yummy interesting veg options, although many meat dishes too (good compromise when eating with non vegs).
Dishes are very small though, so think about ordering two per person. This means its a little more expensive than you may originally think. But worth it.
Pros: great food * vibrant atmosphere *
Cons: small dishes * HAVE to book * |
