	Review: It's my number one vegetarian spot...cheap and delicious. I only can say that the food is very very very simple....no salt or sweet. That dissapoints me a little, 'cause vegetarian doesn't mean insipid or dull, and it happends to be that way some of the time. I would love the restaurant to be more big and fresh..It's very small and full of clients most of the time. A traditional healthy place, known by everybody here in Medellin.   Pros: * * Cons: * *

	Review: A wonderful, unassuming restaurant with excellent food and a friendly staff. el arbol de la vida offers a set menu of regional food:. when we visited, there was a first course of soup followed by a sauteed tofu dish accompanied by carmalized plantain, rice, a chocolo (sweet corn) patty, and salad. fresh fruit juice and later tea and desert were also served. The food was plentiful, delicious, and *very* reasonably priced (around 10000 pesos, about $5 american dollars). we loved the food, and then became touched by the owner (who is also the cook). when we learned that tamales were available for take out, the owner prepared one for us. it too was authentic and delicious. later when my colombian partner recognized a tomate de arbol (a sweet tomato fruit) desert behind the counter, the owner offered it to us free of charge (and then asked if we wanted more). it too was delicious. we will definitely return to this restaurant next time we visit medellin! by the way, the restaurant is located in a nice area of town (suramericana) worth a look around after lunch   Pros: great regional food * friendly staff * inexpensive Cons: * *
