Review: Darshan saved me from the lard and cabrito that is Monterrey for the three weeks that I lived there. The buffet is a tasty and interesting fusion of Mexican, Indian, and Italian food. Some unique spice and flavor combinations are used, and it is obviously made by someone who cares about food. My only criticism is that the food is basically the same every time I have visited Darshan, but it is good enough to deserve a repeat visit.
A few dishes I remember: A pasta with cilantro sauce; another with grated carrots and ginger; stuffed tomatoes; rice; lentil soup; savory empanadas with Indian spices; lasagna; aguas frescas (two flavors every day); chile poblano stuffed with some kind of fake meat and tomato sauce; fake meat tacos
Pros: tasty food * friendly staff * interesting combinations
Cons: menu doesn't change very often * * |

Review: about a five minute walk from the Tecnologico. Comida Corrida, which is a buffet, costs 50 PM. one of the few options in this cabrito-crazied town!
