Beutifully presented food, two apparently vegan choices, but it was hard to tell if the sauces contained eggs or milk. Tasted nice
Pros: Friendly, PresentationConsidering almost all restaurants in Luxembourg are over-prized, the lunch menue of this place is a good option to safe some money and to have a delicious vegan meal. Just tell them you're vegan, and they will prepare something special for you if the lunch menue of the day isn't totally vegan. For 12 Euro, we got a soup, a salad and a main dish. The food was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was fine.
Pros: Price of the lunch menue is good, Fresh and delicious food, Friendly staffgood restaurant, free salad served as a first course. You have more than enough to eat... waiters are kind. To advice if you go out with friends loving fish too.
Pros: Free saladThis is an overrated restaurant, which is mostly serving fish-based food or salads, in no interesting variations. The food quality is good: fresh and tasty. But it all seems not very authentic and feels like they use the vegetarian "trendyness" to attract yuppies. Customers are mostly rich people who can afford the food and who can claim that they are so vegetarian and so hip. Just a fake "place to be" in Luxembourg for those who need to be seen. They leave the cow but they eat the fish, nothing vegetarian about that. Many other places offer that kind of food without claiming to be "vegetarian". I don't like that attitude.
Pros: Fresh foodMesa Verde was excellent.
It was listed as a "vegan and seafood" restaurant on their website. ???
FYI though, aside from the seafood the rest of the menu is NOT entirely vegan as we expected.
But a lot of items are. And they were more than accommodating.
Beautiful decor and ambiance. Very good, large plates of food. Gorgeous, super fresh (and super filling) salad before dinner.
We'll be going to Luxembourg again just to eat at Mesa Verde.
I can't comment on the quality of the food as it was closed when I went. This place is a vegetarian and pescatarian restaurant. Location is great bang in the centre of Luxembourg. Rue de St Esprit is a narrow street that is a continutation on the other side of Viaduc of Ave de la Gare (the main station is a 10 min walk). I'd prefer if it was 100% veggie of course but the fact that I haven't tried the food means no attention should be given the rating I give it.
Pros: Central
