Kushi Garden is absolutely wonderful. They serve a variety of dishes including Japanese, European, Korean, and Chinese. During lunch time, you can build your own deli plate by selecting 3 (or more) deli items to accompany your brown rice, miso soup, and salad. At dinner, the menu is larger and they also have dinner sets too. I love the tempe rice bowl and curry udon. On the 4th Saturday of every month, they hold an all-you-can-eat vegan buffet for 3500 which includes about 15 vegan entrees, curry, soups, rice, soft drinks, and numerous vegan desserts. Well worth it! [Reservations are required for the buffet event.]

We ate dinner there tonight and it was absolutely delishious! Everything was vegan. We hade some fried food and some type of burger both very good. And then we had the soy icecream cookie and straw berry ice cream and they were both so so goooood :D I would definetly recommend it. Best place I've tried in Tokyo so far...

This place is easy to find. As soon as you exit the Imperial palace east gardens from the Hirakawa-Mon Gate, you will see a huge building in front of you called Mainichi. The top of the door says Palace bldg. Go through the door and up through the stairs and the place is the first one on the left. The staff speak some english. They had 3 set menus and they cost 1000 yen. The food was very good. I had the curry, soup and rice set menu and it was very filling.
