Respond to Review of Green Vegetarian Cuisine - Downtown
Review: I have only eaten at Green's twice, because unfortunately it is over an hour away from me. However, both times I have visited, I have had delicious food and great service. The first time I had the Chicken Fried Wheat Meat with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy and Sweet Potato Fries. It definitely completely fulfilled my need for the comfort food with which I grew up. The next time I visited I was just a pleased. I had the "Neatloaf" with collard greens and mashed potatoes and gravy again. Delicious again! Like something I would have gotten at home at a Meat and 3 (google it, if you don't know what I'm referring to). I am so glad vegan/vegetarian true comfort food exists within driving distance, especially after moving to Austin from a state where everything is fried and home cooked (South Carolina). The only two suggestions I have: make this type of food available in Austin and vegan fried okra (Southern comfort food isn't complete without it)!
