Respond to Review of Green Vegetarian Cuisine - Downtown
Review: My daughter, one-year old grandson, and I were visiting San Antonio this weekend and needed some food that didn't taste like "restaurant food". I'd found Green on the internet and it was only 1/2 mile north on Flores from our hotel on the Riverwalk so we decided to try it. Great, fresh, home-cooked meals prepared and served in a comfortable, warm, homey, friendly environment. Chris came out and visited us each time (we kept going back) and each time we went, the person serving us (they were the best, they do the cooking, too) brought us out something (free) to try in addition to what we had ordered--rosemary bread, pecan hummus,... We were always full - big servings and great value - so we had to take the vegan, yummy desserts back to the hotel. My one year old loved the food and attention he got from the restaurant as well as the health care people, rock band members, and other people eating there. Just a wonderful, relaxed meal. The garden around the restaurant is beautiful, too. What is more exquisite than an okra blossom!?!
