Respond to Review of The Present Moment Cafe and Market
Review: I was in St. Augustine for four days and went to the Present Moment Cafe three times for take-out. It's a little out of the way from the historic district, but well worth the five minute drive. Not a single meal disappointed. The only item I got that wasn't downright amazing was the hummus- which was just because I'm picky and hot-and-cold about hummus. I had an amazing strawberry milk (when, as a kid, I couldn't stand strawberry milk made with real cow's milk. This almond milk was amazing), a fantastic burrito for the first time in ages, the best eggplant parmesan I've had in my life EVER, amazingly creamy cashew ice cream, and some flavor packed pad thai (that was big enough for more than two meals). Most of the items, you wouldn't know they were raw fare- they tasted so amazing. The only tip off would be the dehydrated chips and the lack of a heavy feeling stomach afterwards! I only wish I had the time to go through their raw market section during my stay. And that I lived in the area and could eat there more often than just when on vacation. Fantastic laid back environment, amazing raw food, kind and patient servers, eco-friendly take out supplies, and just overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
