Respond to Review of What The DickInns
Review: I have been to this place a few times and I really like it. The owner/chef is welcoming and the regulars in the pub don't seem to mind interlopers. Although they serve lasagne and chilli, the food is in many instances a vegetarian or vegan version of "plain English cooking" - sausages, rissoles, nut cutlets etc. - so good if you're lunching with conservatively-minded relatives. They do serve meat but vegetarian and vegan is definitely the speciality. Couple of points (1) I would definitely phone first and check they're doing food when you're planning to go as they don't always and (2) food is mostly prepared from scratch I think so expect to have a drink or two while you wait.
