Respond to Review of La Casa de Ohsawa
Review: This is a very simple operation in a cute but slightly dissheveled little place. We loved that they are organic but had a really hard time finding anything that appealed to us on the menu... there is fish, chicken and eggs on offer so not sure how they reconcile that with the macrobiotic philosophy? Fish maybe, but why chicken? After much struggle with the Spanish menu we tried to order a vegetable wholemeal pasta but they couldn't do it for some reason and failing that, everything seemed to involve seitan and tofu which we are are not fans of in large portions. They don't have a salad menu either - the vegetables offerings are all steamed or boiled, which wasn't what we felt like. So we stumbled into their bakery section, picked up some yummy looking apple strudels, a cake-ish scone-ish thing that looked pretty good too, some dried apricots and two bags of organic (?) peaches and headed somewhere else for lunch.
