Review: I'd read that Mildred's gets very busy and you can expect to wait for a table, as you can't book. As it turned out, we were seated right away upstairs - which was good because it's a tightly-packed place and you can't really relax at the bar to wait. it's cosy with windy stairs, but a nice atmospheric place. The selection of food was excellent and the food itself was amazing (even though it came exceedingly quickly - still tasted freshly made, though!). We had four separate dishes and all of us loved them; the desserts were great - my first ever banoffee pie a definite success! We would have liked to have have a drink after dinner but it's a restaurant and very popular so the staff dissuaded us. Fair enough, I guess, just important to manage expectations. I'd definitely go back for the great food, and on to somewhere else afterwards for a drink.
