Review: A friend and I had dinner at Terre a Terre after a fun day wandering around lovely Brighton. We ordered the Hoisin Tofu for entree, and although simple, tofu smothered in hoisin sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger, the flavours were just perfect together. I could have eaten a main of it. For main we have Terre a Tapas. Oh my...if this isn't the best meal I've ever had it's in the top handful. I say this as someone who has owned a vegan restaurant, organises a vegan lunch club and has eaten at some highly rated restaurants like Millenium in San Francisco and Shakahari's in Melbourne Australia. It as basically a taster of much of their menu. Each thing was perfect, battered sushi, ragout, some delicious mushroom thing. So this was as close to a perfect meal I've had in a long time, worth the trip to Brighton on it's own. The staff themselves may not be veggies, but they make amazing vegan (and I presume vegetarian) food. I would give them 6 happy cows if I could. Viva Terre a Terre.
