Review: The food was extremely expensive and certainly not good value for money. Although the prices on the internet site said 85 shekel, we were informed when we arrived that in fact it was 100 shekel per person. We stayed anyway but since it is a vegetarian meal there is no way that price could be justified. However, in a restaurant one is prepared to pay for the ambiance etc, but this was sadly lacking. Everything about the place is old-fashioned. The way the food is served from literally putting several courses on the table at once so that half of them are cold by the time you come to them -- to the dishes they are presented in. The greatest disappointment though at the end of the day was the taste. Overcooked cauliflower, and underspiced dips are not culinary treats. There is a serious shortage of restaurants in the area and anyone who opens up a place that is even half-way decent there would invariably do very well since there is no competition. One last comment, Dalia herself, could do with learning some basic public relations skills. When she asks you if everything is fine -- telling her your problems is not received graciously or with a constructive attitude. The idea of replacing overcooked food with something done freshly was not offered or considered a possibility when suggested. The customer should know her place!

The negative comments about Dalia's Vegetarian Restaurant were posted 5 years ago. Our experience in May of 2013 was much different: we found it to be a great vegetarian restaurant, good prices, and the owner, Dalia, was delightful. The Amirim vegetarian village is an interesting place to visit and Dalia's is a great place to eat.
