Respond to Review of Vegetalia - Escudellers
Review: My 4yo son and I had lunch at Vegetalia today. We shared the set menu (3 courses for EUR9.90) and I found that while the serves were not huge, they were really perfectly adequate. More importantly, the dishes were delicious, very fresh and tasty and I had no problems getting a lovely vegan dessert (a soy-based fruit flan), which is not always the case at places that are not purely vegan. Most impressive was the fact that the staff saw that my son had already finished his first course while I was awaiting my vegie burger, and gave him a slice of the flan gratis to occupy him while I enjoyed my main course! Though I might add that my son also ended up sharing my main and really enjoying it too. So for those travelling with kids, I think you'll find this place easy and welcoming. The store has only a limited range of products, but would certainly save a starving vegan doing self-catering. I find the veg pate spreads an excellent choice for picnics, especially the ones with the replaceable lid.
