Respond to Review of Le Potager du Marais
Review: My partner and I went here about a week ago, and had a very nice meal. We split the seaweed tartiner, and I then had the nut roast and my husband had the plat de jour, which was moussaka. Since it was a birthday dinner, we also had some of their gluten-free vegan chocolate cake (made with chestnut flour), which was great--the chestnut flour makes it very fudge-y! (I should note that that cake may have been a special for that day.) Everything was very, very good. I think the nut roast could have a been a *little* less salty, but it was still delicious; and the pureed cauliflower and fried potatoes that came with it complimented it really well. Also, I should mention that our waiter was wonderful. He was patient with our slow and ungrammatical French, and was generally very friendly without being overbearing. Their menu is translated into English, so if you haven't yet mastered your French food words, ordering is still very easy. All vegan options are clearly marked. Since we're vegans on a graduate student budget, we can't really eat here all the time--but this is a very good place for a nice vegan meal, and the prices are reasonable.
