Respond to Review of Veggie Cafe
Review: The other reviews have basically said it all: this cafe is run a friendly chef who is passionate about healthy food. It's basically macrobiotic-gone-Israli style, and he's very talented with how he makes falafel etc into delicious pitas. What I especially liked about the Veggie Cafe is how rather than using organic ingredients "as much as possible" as most restaurants say they do (which often amounts to aspiring to use organic ingredients but not really, because they're too expensive so often not economic) he lists the ingredients of all his products, and clearly says which ingredients are vegan, which virtually all of them are (including the main ingredients like flour). And with this his prices are still very reasonable. So this place offers an almost unbeatable simple, organic, healthy, delicious meal in Kyoto.
