Respond to Review of Rasayana Raw Food Cafe
Review: Every time I go through Bangkok, I visit this place. Initially I raved about it, but overtime - perhaps as I ate my way through the menu - my assessment became more, shall we say, balanced. There are some delicious items, especially the salads! The main courses, however, can be hit or miss. Some are fantastic, like the Mushroom burger, but I found the Sun Burger inedible and other items were just glorified salads. Sadly, the desserts were often disappointing. (From my culinary perspective, there's nothing worse than an unsatisfactory dessert!) The packaged raw snacks they sell by the counter inside are usually quite tasty. Although raw food is rarely cheap, dining here is expensive and a full meal can easily cost US$20 per person (juice, salad, main, desert). The price tag is high for Thailand considering the facilities are basic (although nicely done) and the location is remote, well tucked away in residential neighborhood. If you enjoy raw food and find yourself in Bangkok, it's worth a try.
