Respond to Review of Maoz Vegetarian - Old Compton
Review: I don't have much to add to the previous reviews, but I enjoyed my meal here very much. I found that the regular falafel sandwich (at 3.90) was a good-sized filling meal by itself, so you might not have to get one of the meal deals unless you're really hungry (or really want some chips). Compared to the "Amsterdam Falafel" shop in Washington DC, the salads and sauces weren't terribly exciting, but they weren't at all bad. I think that arranging the salads and falafels in the pitta is a bit of an art that I haven't quite mastered yet, so the first half of my sandwich was mostly salad and the second half was mostly falafel. For that reason I was glad that the falafels were a bit on the moist side, not dry and crumbly like you sometimes see.
