Respond to Review of CLOSED: Long Fu
Review: Discreetly located on Charoen Krung Soi 44 (look for the 7-11 on the Charoen Krung corner, or the tailor on the corner opposite Shangri-La) this is a great find. The 20 or so dishes (soup, rices, noodles etc) are photographs on the wall, the owner speaks English and the prices can't be beat. She also makes other dishes not shown, just ask. No soft drinks offered (just ice water), but she was kind enough to let me buy some soda/teas at the 7-11 to enjoy with our meal. We ate there twice in 3 days (she remembered us) and enjoyed. The soups contained chewy fish-flavored dumplings which I didn't care for, but that is my only criticism. Obviously people must like them or she wouldn't serve them. Don't go if you are in a rush, as it's a one-woman operation and she cooks each dish, and brings them out, in the order received. But no one rushes in Bangkok, so go and enjoy! Note! The HappyCow map marker is not accurate for this place. Continue on Charoen Krung or "Shangri-La Street" to Soi 44. There is a street sign on the Charoen Krung side.
