Respond to Review of Nourish Cafe and Bistro
Review: This café deserves another review since the only other one was posted way back in 2012. We were there for lunch last weekend, after a tour of the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific, to which the café is attached. The menu takes its cue from the gardens as it carries out its vision of helping people ‘eat healthier’. Even though it was our first time there, it is obviously a popular spot since it was constantly full all the time we were there. We shared “Beet around the bush”, which is sort of a sandwich, but that word doesn’t do it justice. It came with a bowl of leek and potato soup, which we were surprised to find was not creamy, just filled with lots of chopped leeks and big chunks of potato. Menu items are noted as being vegan, dairy free or gluten free, meaning we didn’t have to ask – how lovely. The menu is available on the café website, so check it out before you go – and then be prepared to have a delicious and healthy meal.
