Respond to Review of CLOSED: Cafe Aleatoire
Review: I went to this place for brunch on a beautiful Saturday late morning and we were the only people seated. Bad sign for a place that has cafe in the name. Everything on the menu looked delicious but that would change once the food was delivered. I had the Griffon which was flavourless apart from the maple syrop which was tasty. The potatos were coated in some kind of bbq hot sauce, yes the fluorescent orange kind and on top of that they were undercooked, still hard, with no crispiness. Revolting! My girlfriend had an omelette which had the same hot sause drizzeled on top!! She can't eat spicy food and there was no mention of this on the menu. I think the chef was being creative. To make matters worse the two girls working that day were "testing" the stereo system by changing the music every 30 seconds and blasting the volume to max and then cutting it. Then they proceeded to laugh their heads off and when we looked over, they apologized but did it again a few minutes later. What a disaster, no wonder the place was empty.
