Respond to Review of Lovely Lotus Delicious Vegetarian
Review: The food is is generally great, although the menu is large and its a bit of a lucky dip. Living in China, I think I know which dishes to choose and which not, but the average punter may struggle. What I love most about this place is that they dont use any mock meat. I'm not one of the mock-meat haters, I eat it here and there, but I cant stand all those Chinese vegetarian places that only offer mock meat with no fresh veg. I suggest the Lotus balls, they're fantastic, as well as the sliced tofu in chilli oil, and the noodles/ mushroom/ seeweed in mala sauce. Price is a little more than the average place in Dali, but worth it for me. ** Please note, this review is for the Lotus vegetarian place, located in Jiu Long Zhu alley, off Bo Ai Lu. There is no place in Dali called Reminiscence. (This appears to be some kind of Chinglishy mistranslation) ** Also, the map on the right is totally wrong. When I say totally, I mean, the map in the right is not even Dali!! That map is of Xiaguan, the new city 20km away. The restaurant is located in an alley of Bo Ai Lu, in between Renmin Lu, and Hong Long Jin.
