Respond to Review of Vegetarian Haven
Review: I went to this restaurant because my girlfriend recommended it in the past. I checked the menu online and was blown away by the selection. I really prefer a few items, not a binder full. We walked in to see the daily specials displayed, which looked delicious. We ordered the wonton soup, filo pasty special and spicy cayenne tempeh. The wonton soup was rather bland and needed salt, which was no where to be seen. They did have paprika on the table so we added some of that. The filo dish looked amazing, but they used WAY to much spice, they could have only used 1/4 of what they did and it still would have been too much. Its not that it was spicy hot, there was far to much paprika, cumin, cinnamon and whatever else was in there. The Tempeh dish was ok, I had never had it before and didn't know what to expect, but it was lacking the cayenne. They really know how to steam the bok choy, the best I have ever had, it was nice and crispy. I will probably not go back to this place as there are far to many restaurants to try in Toronto. My g/f will be back though..
