Review: Talalask is arguably the best of the mall food court options in Bangkok. It serves all plant-based food, cooked fresh to order (unlike many mall stalls where food is cooked in big batches and served buffet style). The menu is somewhat limited but has reasonable variety (noodles, stir fries, one curry). Both brown and white rice are available (and the brown had good flavor and texture). The two dishes i sampled were tasty and well-prepared. There were also very (authentically) spicy. I'm a person who enjoys a fair bit of spice, but i had to remove all the chilis, and even then it was about as hot as i could comfortably eat. Moral of the story: if you like yours on the milder side, ask them to hold the chili (and that won't be difficult, even if you don't speak Thai, because you'll see them them chopping fresh chilis to prepare your order, and you can simply point to the chili and make it clear that you don't want any). At 70-80 Baht for most dishes, the prices are quite reasonable considering the freshness and the location. The food court was less crowded and noisy than others, and has some seats by the windows with pleasant 7th-floor views over Bangkok, making it actually a pretty nice place to eat.
