Review: Thanks to the other reviews (and Happy cow) I gave this restaurant a try. Catering to meat eaters and veg*ns, it seemed a good option for me and my friends. If you have any trouble finding it, it's in the Hotel Carlton. There were 6 of us and it did take about 20 minutes to get seated, but it was worth the wait. The vegan food was clearly marked on the menu, there were extra vegan specials and the waitress was extremely helpful. I had a 4 courses (all vegan) butter nut squash and coconut soup, ravioli, red veg curry and banana baklava for desert. My vegan partner also had the soup, then braised mushroom and tofu, veg tagine, and slap yo mamma (figs, choc and marzipan wrapped in pastry). All our food tasted exceptional, not overly spicy, but warm and fragrant, with wonderful rich tastes. Our non-veg friends also commented on the quality of their food. The waitress kept the water and drinks flowing and the food was quick to be served. I'd highly recommend this place. The only downside was that it was a little pricey around $90 for the 2 of us (inc a few beers) but for a nice meal out you can't fault the food.
