Review: This little restaurant opened in January 2012, run by a Seventh-Day-Adventist family. To my knowledge, it is the only vegetarian oasis in this jungle city of 400,000 (where wild animals are sold in the markets and made into jewelry). The set lunch (8 soles/US$3) includes soup, a choice of entree (usually with rice), and a cool fruit drink. You can also order off the menu, which includes veggie burgers, salads, sandwiches, and fruit juices. The family is very kind and sincere. Ever, the oldest son, is studying gastronomy and it was his idea to start the restaurant. He sat and talked with me every time I ate there (my Spanish is good). They're eager to attract foreign visitors, and Ever promises to study English!
