Review: Just got back from Tulum, and we ate at Bless. The menu, although limited for vegans, was worth the stop. The Chef (Waiter, dishwasher, food prep) was a true artist. Bless is pure Tulum funk...a small outdoor restaurant with an open kitchen, wood tree trunk tables, books, cards, and cool lights. This is not a dress up place, but for us with our vegan kid it was perfect. The chef, Emmanual, was a true host. Everything was prepared with care and artistry. When the power generator went down for a few minutes, he was there with a flashlight and a smile...we knew all was OK and he did not miss a beat. We ate the veggie fajitas, the Bless Salad and the salsa and chips. At the end of the excellent meal, he treated our kid to a kitchen tour, some hugs and more hospitality than one could ever ask for. Visit Bless...restaurants like this need to survive. It's worth the trip to Tulum. Updated from previous review on Tuesday May 29, 2012
