Respond to Review of Vegan Folie's
Review: My bloke and I were so excited when we passed this little place on our way to another vegan restaurant. We were super happy to see it was open Sunday and headed in there mid-morning. The place was empty so we were able to take advantage of the few small seats. I ordered the Cupcake Du Jour which was chestnut cream and orange confiture, and it was AMAZING. Subtle flavours, not too sweet and it didn't leave me with a sickly sweet feeling as some cupcakes do. My bloke had the Johnny Nutsville which was chocolate and hazelnut with vanilla icing. MUCH sweeter but still utterly delicious. The cupcakes are lovely -- light and moist, really great. They're four euros each which is decent for how much you get and the quality. Others are complaining about no hot drinks but we really didn't mind that -- it's mostly a takeout place so just grab a coffee from one of the millions of cafes in the same area?! We also drooled over the cheesecake, brownies and cookies on display but didn't try them this time. As others have pointed out the lady running the shop was LOVELY, very polite and friendly and spoke excellent English. She made us feel really welcome! We'll surely go back next time we're in Paris! Super recommended!
