Respond to Review of Oasis Restaurante Vegetariano

Review: In this instance, it is impossible to separate my overflow of passion from objective judgement. Lisbon was truly an apocalyptic wasteland for my partner and I, but Oasis was, at the risk of being redundant, an oasis in an otherwise empty and unforgiving environment. The staff were exceedingly friendly, despite the language barrier, and the food was a hearty russo-vegan fusion, the perfect retreat to come to after a day of ugliness and alienation in one of the most wretched and cold cities that I have had the misfortune to set foot in. Affordability topped the cake at Oasis; at €8 for a massive plate of food plentiful enough for two with good strong coffee afterwards, this restaurant was a daily staple of our trip. The interior has a sort of kitsch to it which would otherwise be off-putting but somehow works with the overall humbleness of the place. All in all it was a relaxing, cheap, and enjoyable place to sit down for a bite after a day's worth of staring in despairing awe at gutted buildings and demolished streets full of the elderly and insane, and perhaps a trip to the finest cultural establishment Lisbon may boast of: a tile museum. I sincerely hope that other visitors can find a gem or two in this urban void of a town, but when that fails you can always count on Oasis for refuge and comfort.
