Review: I'm a fussy cow, so I'm overjoyed to say that Ohlala is the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to - on a par with Shoreditch Saf (RIP) but with better ambiance and more variety and adventure. Ohlala has cute, retro French styling, alt music, animal acivist posters and delicious, beautifully presented food. Saturday brunch buffet is amazing value and includes delights such as blinis with beetroot carpaccio, coffee creme brulee, strawberry rice quenelles, pates, tofu in cream sauce, grain mustard mash and an unexpectedly delightful raw courgette "pasta". Everything looks and tastes fantastic and unlike many vegan offerings, isn't full of over-processed, wind-provoking products or jaw-ache rawism. The non-buffet cakes and tarts also looked absolutely mouth-watering, but unfortunately I was too full to partake. The brunch is not surprisingly, very popular so make sure you get there early!
