Respond to Review of CLOSED: Corbaci Soup Bar
Review: I really enjoyed both my visits to this soup bar. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Despite my lack of Turkish, they tried very hard to understand my dietary requirements. It is a drop-in, informal place, or you can get a take-away. It is self-service. The staff behind the counter can tell you which vegetarian soups there are - on both visits, there were at least five or six vegetarian soup choices, plus two or three veg side dishes (such as potato balls, and veggie fritters. I was told that many of the soups change daily. There is also a self-service salad bar, with several vegetarian choices. Very reasonably priced, and a great place to fill up if you are in the Istiklal Caddesi area. For vegans, the choice is probably smaller, as I noticed that they did use cheese in some of the veg soups, however it would definitely be worth askng the staff (perhaps also worth knowing how to say explain what vegan is in Turkish!). Lovely, welcoming and cheap place to eat!
