Review: I was very impressed when I visited Max Pett. There's a leafy outdoor seating area and the restaurant interior is light and airy, with wooden flooring and comfy seating uphostered in a fresh lime green. They have a wide selection of alcohol-free hot and cold drinks, wine, beer, and even cocktails. I couldn't understand all of the menu, but it looked like an impressive, original array of vegan dishes. I ordered truffle ravioli (12.9€), which came in a creamy sauce with sundried tomatoes, walnuts, capers, and artichokes - an exciting and satisfying mix of flavours. For dessert I had a Knusperbecker (6.8€) - a caramel-nougat icecream sundae served with nuts, wafer and caramel sauce. The service was very fast and efficient (it was quiet when I visited) and the decor and atmosphere was pleasing. The one low point was the hot chocolate I ordered with my dessert - it was bland and disappointing. (I've yet to find a truly great vegan hot choc!) I also found it a bit expensive, although they do have cheaper options, e.g. a main plus soup or dessert for 8.5€ until 6pm on weekdays. They have English menus available if you ask. I'll definitely return to sample more of their menu before I leave. Updated from previous review on Sunday September 18, 2011
