Respond to Review of The Real Food Cafe
by TRaeCH

Review: Traveling with 4 omnivores in the Scottish Highlands can make it difficult for a vegetarian to eat well. I found myself in this position recently. Stopping at The Real Food Cafe I assumed it would be another night of baked potato or a simple order of chips (fries). Miraculously, The Real Food Cafe has a specific vegetarian section to their menu - featuring lentil and vegetable pasties, falafel, a veggie and chickpea curry over chips, and veggie rostis in a bun - plus a number of salads. Beyond that, the restaurant is literally decorated in literature about their environmentally friendly aims and the steps they have taken to improve their sustainability in that regard. I was smiling as I ate my vegetable and chickpea curry. The staff is remarkably friendly and the space very welcoming - great for families with their long, high tables and stools overlooking the open kitchen. They also have a nice desert selection. While Scotland may be a rough place for a vegetarian, The Real Food Cafe, at least, makes an effort to keep them in mind which I appreciate a great deal.
