Respond to Review of Kaya's Kitchen
Review: While vegetarian meals are much easier to find in most restaurants, finding vegan food or even a chef who knows how to make anything beyond salads and chickpea dishes is much more cumbersome. Cue in Kaya's Kitchen, an unpretentious slice of heaven tucked away by the beach. Here, the chef's take great pride in what they are serving. The menu is expansive, making the decision of what to order that much more of a challenge. As a repeat customer, I've tried 25% of the expansive menu and NEVER had a complaint. In fact, the food is so well prepared that more often than not, I put in an additional order to take home for the next day. There are times when the staff can be preoccupied however I've never seen anyone behave rudely or inappropriately. The design of the restaurant as well as the staff attitude is relaxed and soul nurturing. The prices can be a bit steep but given the pride and flavorful attention to details that the chef cranks out at a shockingly fast pace, it is worth it. If it wasn't so expensive, I'm sure we would be there a lot more frequently. For now, it is reserved as a special treat every few months and something we look forward to repeatedly. When all is said and done, kudos to the owner and the staff for making this place vegan friendly and a delectable experience for the taste buds. The chef is worth his weight in gold!
