Respond to Review of The Plum Cafe and Bakery
Review: I've eaten at Plum Cafe at least a dozen times, so obviously, I like the food. They offer a good variety of items and nice sized portions. Service can be quick or painfully slow, but doesn't seem to have much to do with the number of customers. Other than that mystery, the staff has always been welcoming and friendly. This is an 'order at the counter and they bring it to your table' place. Plum has both indoor and outdoor seating. There's not a stitch of carpeting inside, and other than a picture or two, the walls are barren, so the noise level can be overbearing if the place is full. The large back patio is a good option for a more peaceful meal. Plum has one very large restroom, which is usually clean and always well stocked. However, Plum needs a good sized helping of TLC. A bit of paint and a lot of good old fashioned elbow grease could go a long ways in giving the restaurant a cute, little cottage look. Parking can be a challenge, but the side streets and alley are options to the street in front. If you like sweets, treat yourself to one of the several desserts in the case. Plum definitely does a fine job with sweets.
