Respond to Review of Yummy Green
Review: Yummy Green (with another branch Simple Food at Tampines) has recently added new dishes to their menu, including Tonkatsu Rice (curry rice + salad + a huge piece of tonkatsu which i suppose is veggie chicken + some diced tomatoes, potato, cucumber and eggplant etc.) which was rather tasty, at $7.50. They also have a variety of bento dishes (@$8.80 each, or $9 for a set which is the original bento + miso soup, with an additional drink -- canned, if juice will have to add $1). The tempura is nice, and the karage (some fried veg meat) really smells like the real thing, with fried 'layers' that look like the real fat. another dish that has very good taste is the spaghetti -- so far only tried the bacon balognese (please note that the menu on the wall was the previous one, please check the menu book for the correct dishes), and it's really great. the tomato sauce was delicious, and very satisfying. just note that some of the aglio olio spaghetti have cheese, if i'm not wrong it's the dish no. S02, and S06. S01 (the bacon balognese) is recommended to anyone looking for a tasty treat :) the drinks available are ice lemon tea, green tea, coke, sprite etc. an online menu (the old one though) is available here: http://simplefood.com.sg/yummy-green.html, the website is http://simplefood.com.sg items range from $5-10, so prepare some cash before going there. they also have appetizers, like italian herbs bread and kombu (seaweed). located at e!hub, especially during the weekends at around 7+ it might be crowded due to the small area. but still worth a visit!
