Respond to Review of Dekalb Farmers Market
Review: This is my new favorite place to go shopping! There is a huge assortment of fruits and vegetables, and they're all super cheap compared to regular grocery stores. There's a large bread section with delicious vegan choices. They don't label which ones are vegan, but they do list the ingredients, so it's easy to check. If you're looking for spices or nutritional yeast or flours that you can't normally find in a regular grocery store, you can probably find them here - and at an affordable price. They have nuts and beans and coffees and a bunch of interesting ingredients I wouldn't have known where to find before. There is, sadly, a large meat/fish department, but I usually just avoid that side of the store. The only time I go in that direction is to find soy products, which isn't that often. If you are looking for soy products, there's a decent selection over in the refrigerator section. It's not the best selection I've ever seen, but there's more of a selection than I've seen at a regular grocery store. The only real downside to this place is that it's really crowded. It's helpful to have someone with you just as a cart pusher, as it's easier to run in and out of aisles and grab stuff than it is to take your cart with you. Other than the crowd, though, it's a great place. Anyone who's ever said that a veggie diet is expensive has clearly never been here.
