Review: Thanks to the reviews here, my partner and I went in search of Landare for lunch yesterday. After a week and a half of travelling around the Pyrenees and wrestling with non-veg friendly menus in foreign languages (and a few meals where meat appeared despite clear instructions to the contrary), it was such a relief to have a full meal that was 100% veggie. Not to mention nutritionally complete with lots of legumes. Extremely cheap for this city (12 euros) and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. (Though we laughed at the Enya Christmas Carols CD they were playing - in July!) The staff speak little to no English, but we have enough Castilliano to get by and had a lovely meal. NOTE: Like many restaurants in San Sebastian, I don't think they are open for the supper hour, at least not during the week, only lunch.
