Review: Okay, so this was originally a listing for a vegetarian restaurant, and upon further inspection I found out that this was not a restaurant, but a stall that sells vegetarian ingredients. It is stall #87 in a huge fruit/veg market and it is on the "3rd floor," which is the 4th if you count the ground floor, so don't get confused! When you get there, you'll be greeted by very friendly staff, but there is not English spoken. They also gave me a magazine with recipes and vegetarian restaurant listings in China- this will be useful! I was happy that a lot of the products they had were bilingual (English/Chinese), so I was able to read the ingredients listed. Everything is certainly vegan, and they had a lot of fake meat so typical of American Chinese restaurants- notably a fake pig's foot, a fake whole pig (a very small one!), and a fake chicken. Also fake shrimp- a Buddhist cuisine favorite of mine. This place is clearly just a storefront of a place that provides ingredients for restaurants. You can walk away with some jerky and a few odds and ends, but it is very gluten-heavy and processed vegetarian "junk food" kind of stuff. If you are in the area, it would be great to stop in, but it is no veg. paradise supermarket- just a little shop. Still, they had "vegetarian meat floss" (I really like this stuff), jerky, and interesting fake meat shreds and such. Go check it out!
