Respond to Review of Pu Ti Su - Bodhi Vegetarian - Jingliguan

Review: Pu Ti Su is a really interesting experience; I have been here twice by now. First of all, this is in a part of town that is referred to by all as being "fancy" and I'd agree. The traffic is the usual gridlock but with wide lanes and shopping malls and chain stores. You will end up paying more for this "atmosphere" at the restaurant, but still, it is worth it. It is easily accessible by public transit, too, which is helpful. The inside of the restaurant is GORGEOUS, I must say, and I am already a bit of a snob. It is done really well, and even down to the menu, which looks like a graphic designer's pet project. One thing, though, is that the menu is not bilingual, and neither are the staff. If you are going there in a group of English-speakers, I would recommend trying another restaurant altogether since you could have similar and cheaper dishes at other places. Anyway, the food is all named poetically and I went with a group of Germans who were amazed and chose based on that alone. The food is good, but yes, you are going to pay a bit.... This would be an excellent choice for a date, someone you need or want to impress, or when someone parents are in town, that kind of thing. The food is beautiful, expertly created, simply gorgeous- worthy of taking pictures.... although this is a restaurant that is highly health-conscious, please do keep in mind that it is still Sichuanese food and thus it is STILL greasy! Oh my! Expect to spend at least 50 yuan per person, but still: worth it!
