Review: This is a terrific restaurant located in the basement of a building with a fabulous U-shaped brick ceiling and warm colors. It was quite full for a Tuesday evening at 20:30 which is always a good sign. I began with the soup du jour which was a tofu noodle.. great taste and ingredients however the soup itself came out just lukewarm! I don't expect it to be freshly prepared each time but at least warm it up out of the pot! Still, I enjoyed it.. quickly before it got any cooler. For my main I had the fried pancakes with vegetable cream on a bed of mashed potatoes. The fried pancakes were excellent! Very good. The mashed potatoes were a little chunky for my taste but the smoother bits had a nice flavor and texture. The serving size was generous however I'd have preferred one more pancake (there were three) and less potatoes. The server was friendly and polite however my food took quite some time to come out... strangely the people who sat down next to me well after I arrived received their food (the platter for two) and had nearly finished it by the time mine came. Even the soup took some time to come out... and not because they were checking the temperature. ;) It was as though they'd forgotten about me. Nevertheless, I very much enjoyed my meal here and will be back the next time I'm in Budapest.. a fabulous city indeed.
