Respond to Review of CLOSED: Tam Quang Minh - Thuong Kiet
Review: I wasn't so sure about this place when we pulled up on our bikes (it doesn't scream "hygenic" per se). We decided to go for it, though, and my husband and I each got a tray of food. They scooped some rice onto it and then allowed us to point to the vast array of dishes. We were able to sample everything we wanted, and liked all of it except for the fresh sprouts. We also got a plate of their sliced meats, which were good, and bought a small jar of fermented bean curd, a container of vegetarian chicken floss, a package of vegetarian shrimp, an iced tea, and a package of cookies. The total came to around $8 for everything. (Pretty amazing, considering that the container of chicken floss alone would probably have cost nearly that much in Canada, where we live.) No one there seems to speak any English, but they were very nice, and we were able to communicate well by pointing and using travelers' sign language. I'd happily have gone back if we were staying in Hoi An longer. Note that as of the writing of this review, the map is wrong both on Happy Cow and in Google Maps. It's closer to the intersection of Bà Huyện Thanh Quan and Lý Thường Kiệt, about a kilometer east of where it shows up when you search the address on Google Maps. It's on the north side of the street.
