Respond to Review of Portobello Vegan Trattoria
Review: I am a regular going back to the old coffee shop. The food is wonderful but I have some quibbles with the service and recent food-police menu changes. Its now impossible to get a table on a weekend without waiting ~90 mins. Because they require advanced notice and do not pick up the phone its also problematic to make a reservation. Also be forewarned, even when you arrive for a reservation, a wait is typical. The prices have also steadily increased to the point where eating here is now a *splurge* -- especially for the pasta dishes. I'm also unhappy with recent menu changes. The owners removed field roast sausage and replaced it with a not very appetizing house-made sausage due to "processed" food phobia. Field roast is made by a local company and is no more "processed" than home-made seitan.
