Respond to Review of Ginger Vegetarian Cafe
Review: I cycled over from Leeds to have lunch at this well known and established veggie cafe in the centre of Halifax. It is situated above a very well stocked health food shop, well worth bringing a shopping list to restock your cupboards when calling in at the cafe. The cafe is small and cosy, with interesting bits and pieces on the walls, reviews, letters etc. The staff/owners are very friendly and provided a quick and attentive service to the mixed group of customers enjoying a Saturday lunch. There is a good looking menu of breakfast items, hot and cold sandwiches and interesting salads both vegetarian and vegan, the specials board had a soup of the day and a varied selection of hot dishes, each sounding delicious, it was a difficult choice. I eventually decided on the mixed bean chilli stuffed burrito, served with a large salad and equally large portion of roasted new potatoes. It tasted excellent and was great value at around £6, and set me up nicely for the rest of my cycle ride. The cakes looked and sounded great, but, had no room left, will have to cycle over another day just for tea and cake. Halifax is a great little town for a day trip, and has a perfect little cafe for great lunch.
