Review: This cafe is only open on a Saturday and is very easy to walk past, it is only the small sign outside that lets you know it is there. When I went, I rang the doorbell and someone came and let us in, you are the taken downstairs into the basement. There is a living room type area with bookshelves full of various books which you are invited to read. There was also a dog there which we enjoyed playing with for a bit. The cafe bit itself is a bit shabby but in a good hippyish way, it is a volunteer led cafe so all the tables and chairs are mix matched. There are plenty of posters and leaflets around the walls concerning various issues such as animal rights, gay rights, socialism etc. the offer around 3 choices for meals and around 3 deserts. We just got a veggie burger with chips and salad, it was very nice and cheap, around £2-£3. We didn't get desert. It is very relaxed and they have a variety of activism magazines for people to enjoy. It is definitely worth a visit
