Respond to Review of NEU Vegetarian Restaurant

Review: I had the occasion to visit this restaurant with a group of my colleagues who normally do not eat vegetarian, as it was the first day of the month according to the lunar calendar and some of them wanted to eat vegetarian for religious reasons. The restaurant is nice and located centrally in PJ downtown, the food was good and the service was ok. We had a total of 6 "medium size" dishes that were perfect for 8 people. Best were the curry lamb, the vegetarian assam fish and the claypot eggplant. It was not the best tasting Chinese vegetarian food in Petaling Jaya, but it was decent and nobody complained. The only challenge I saw was that the waitress insisted that all the dishes were vegan, but as her English was not very easy to understand and she did not speak Mandarin either, this was not easy to ascertain. Also the discussions that my colleagues tried to have with her in Cantonese and Malay did not fill me with total confidence. I would have preferred a menu that clearly mentions which dishes are vegan or a competent waiter that can converse well in either English or Mandarin. Nevertheless, in downtown PJ this is definitely one of the better vegetarian Chinese places. Dishes are around 12 RM for small helpings, 18 RM for medium size and 25 RM for big sizes. The total price of the meal including drinks came to 20 RM (5 EUR) per person, which is not exactly cheap, but definitely a fair price for the food offered.
